Terms of service
Effective date: 29 April 2026.
These terms govern your use of GitTok during the invite-only early access period. By clicking Continue with GitHub on the sign-in screen, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not sign in.
Posts must link to shipped work
Every demo is bound to a GitHub repository with commits in the last 90 days. Posts that cannot be verified against a real repository may be removed without notice.
README injection
By publishing a demo, you grant GitTok permission to inject an animated preview into your GitHub profile README via the GitTok GitHub App. You can revoke the installation and remove the injection at any time.
Acceptable use
No malware demos, sexual content, harassment, or content you do not have the right to publish. We honor takedown requests filed under the DMCA.
No warranty
GitTok is provided as-is during early access. We make no guarantees about uptime, search ranking, or persistence of any specific post.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from settings. We may suspend accounts that violate the acceptable-use rules above; in that case any pending README injections are removed and outstanding posts may be unpublished.
Changes to these terms
We will update the effective date at the top of this page when these terms change. For material changes during early access we will surface a banner on next sign-in. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
